Opelousas Catholic is an inter-parish parochial school with roots extending back to the mid 1800’s through the former Academy of the Immaculate Conception, Holy Ghost High School, and St. Mary’s Academy. The school serves families in St. Landry Parish and surrounding areas with classes in PK3-12th grade. Over 500 diverse students call OCS home. Opelousas Catholic School educates students in the mission of Christ: to know, love and serve God as disciples in this life in order to be happy with Him in the next. This is accomplished through the seven beliefs and goals of the school: high standards in all we do, faith in Christ, well-rounded education, character development, academics, respect for others, and civic responsibility.
